Or: How Bowling is Good for You!

The pointlessness of the dating in GTA (especially the 'man-dating') turns out to be a little less pointless than you might think. Make certain girlfriends (or good buddies) happy enough and they'll start doing favors for you, on demand. Here's a quick list of who's worth befriending in Liberty City.

In a simplified version of San Andreas's dating system, spending time with friends or girlfriends raises their friendship (or 'relationship level') with Niko. Raise it high enough by doing enough boring bowling, shaky darts, and painfully annoying billiards, and you can turn those friends into friends with benefits of one kind or another.

While not every friend gives you something (unless you count boom-boom as something something), most of the characters who ask you for friendship will put out something a little more useful than an offscreen sex act.

Here's a list of all the benefits we've found.

Friend: Roman
Benefit: Free taxi pickup (family discount)
Requirement: 60% Friendship

Friend: Little Jacob(a.k.a. the game's only cool friend)
Benefit: Cheaper guns available from Jacob
Requirement: 60% Friendship

Friend: Brucie
Benefit: A helicopter taxi pickup
Requirement: 70% Friendship

Friend: Dwayne
Benefit: Car full of armed homies by phone
Requirement: 60% Friendship

Friend: Packie
Benefit: A free car-bomb by phone
Requirement: 75% Friendship

Girlfriend: Alex
Benefit: 50% off for all Clothing Stores in Liberty
Requirement: 80% Relationship Status

Girlfriend: Carmen
Benefit: Health meter filled by phone
Requirement: 80% Relationship Status

Girlfriend: Kiki
Benefit: Remove Wanted Stars by phone
Requirement: 80% Relationship Status
